Inside the Build

How we deliveredthis project.

A look at the planning, execution, and outcomes that defined this build — from the first walkthrough to the final inspection.

01The Challenge

Municipal Infrastructure of heavy civil on a site that demanded careful sequencing, tight tolerances, and zero tolerance for schedule slip. The work touched live operations and surrounding infrastructure, so every phase had to be planned around the people and traffic moving through it.

02Our Approach

VED self-performed every discipline on this project — clearing, mass earthwork, utilities, stormwater, and structural work — using owned equipment and in-house crews. A single project lead carried the work from preconstruction through closeout, with daily field reports and weekly executive reviews keeping the schedule honest.

03The Result

Underground utilities, roadway infrastructure, and site improvements along a critical Northern Virginia transportation artery.
